PROFILE

Hi, my name is Iain, I am the founder of IAB Neuro Rehab and I’m a specialist neurological physiotherapist working across both paediatric and adult populations, with a focus on complex rehabilitation, movement analysis, and neurological recovery.

My core passion lies in helping individuals with neurological conditions achieve meaningful, functional goals through personalised, expert-driven rehabilitation. I have developed a deep understanding of movement mechanics, neuroplasticity, and patient-specific deficit patterns across the lifespan, allowing me to construct highly tailored treatment plans for both children and adults. This includes the use of orthotics, specialist manual handling techniques, and neurorehabilitation strategies to maximise independence, participation, and quality of life at every stage of development.

I thrive in complex rehabilitation settings where problem-solving, patient engagement, and multidisciplinary teamwork are essential. My clinical interests include advanced movement analysis, long-term rehabilitation planning, and supporting individuals with conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and progressive neurological disorders. I am experienced in adapting rehabilitation approaches to suit developmental needs in paediatrics, as well as managing acquired and degenerative conditions in adults. I regularly utilise technology, orthotics, and hands-on techniques to address both motor and functional impairments in a holistic and goal-oriented way.

Part of my clinical practice involves working within the Transitional Spasticity Management Service at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, where I support both younger and adult patients with complex spasticity presentations. While spasticity management is a highly specialised field, its true value lies in how it informs and enhances rehabilitation planning across different age groups. As a qualified injector, I use advanced ultrasound-guided techniques to optimise outcomes—whether facilitating improved movement patterns in children or enhancing function, positioning, and comfort in adults. These interventions are always directly linked to functional rehabilitation goals, ensuring that improvements translate meaningfully into daily life.

Throughout my career, I have aimed to become a well-rounded and adaptable clinician. Following my master’s degree, I completed a broad range of rotations in: Paediatrics, MSK, trauma & orthopaedics, respiratory, and neuro-rehabilitation, which strengthened my ability to manage diverse and complex presentations across all age groups. I currently divide my time between NHS neurology services and my company, ‘I.A.B Neuro Rehab’, where I deliver specialist rehabilitation to both paediatric and adult clients.

I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals throughout their neurological journey—from early developmental challenges in childhood to recovery and adaptation in adulthood. I have been privileged to be part of many remarkable patient journeys, from early-stage disability to independent mobility and restored confidence. What drives me is seeing real, meaningful progress in people’s lives. I believe that with the right support, tailored clinical planning, and a shared commitment to rehabilitation, every individual can achieve significant improvements. I bring 100% energy and focus to every patient interaction and expect the same engagement in return—because that is how we achieve outcomes that truly matter.
