PROFILE

Nicole is a highly experienced Specialist Neuro Physiotherapist with over 13 years of clinical practice within the NHS, bringing advanced expertise in the assessment and rehabilitation of individuals with complex neurological conditions. Her practice is centred on delivering highly personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation that supports long-term recovery, functional independence, and improved quality of life.

Nicole has developed extensive specialist knowledge across the full neurological rehabilitation pathway, with particular expertise in stroke rehabilitation. She has spent the last eight years working across acute and post-acute stroke services and currently leads a stroke rehabilitation unit in Evesham, Worcestershire. In her role as Team Lead, she is responsible not only for delivering complex clinical care but also for shaping service delivery, mentoring clinicians, and providing advanced training to multidisciplinary teams.

Her clinical approach is grounded in detailed movement analysis and a deep understanding of neuroplasticity. Nicole specialises in identifying underlying impairments and translating these into structured, goal-oriented rehabilitation programmes that promote efficient, controlled, and functional movement patterns. She integrates a wide range of advanced therapeutic techniques, including hands-on facilitation, neuromuscular re-education, repetitive task training, and adjunctive interventions such as taping, orthotics, and electrical stimulation. Her work also incorporates soft tissue techniques, strengthening, and conditioning to optimise physical performance and functional outcomes.

A defining feature of Nicole’s practice is her commitment to truly patient-centred care. She works collaboratively with individuals to identify meaningful goals and tailors each rehabilitation programme to reflect their personal priorities, lifestyle, and long-term aspirations. She places strong emphasis on empowering individuals to take an active role in their recovery, fostering confidence, autonomy, and sustained engagement in the rehabilitation process.

Nicole also recognises the critical role of family and support networks in successful rehabilitation. She actively involves relatives and caregivers as integral members of the rehabilitation team, equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to support ongoing progress beyond clinical sessions. This holistic and collaborative approach enhances consistency, promotes adherence, and supports long-term outcomes.

Her broad NHS background includes rotations across musculoskeletal, trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory, neurology, and community rehabilitation, providing her with a comprehensive clinical foundation and the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted presentations with confidence and precision.

Nicole is widely regarded for her clinical leadership, advanced therapeutic skills, and dedication to delivering high-quality, specialist neurological rehabilitation.
